Spring has arrived! In Michigan, when spring finally arrives, peoples’ attitudes change.  They go from looking like zombies wandering around to upbeat people with things to do and people to see.  Most people start walking and hiking.  Others go fishing.  I go turkey hunting.  As the snow starts to melt away each spring, one of the many things on my mind is getting into the woods to scout turkeys.  I love everything about turkey hunting. I love calling in the birds. I love watching a longbeard strut for the ladies. I love watching a tom stretch out his neck and gobble. I chase a fair amount of animals each year and my favorite is still the wild turkey.

When God created this earth, he gave us many critters to enjoy.  On a regular basis, I listen to a gobbler sound off at daylight or hear an elk bugle high on top of a western mountain and thank the Lord for making the wilderness such a wonderful place to visit.  I can’t imagine this world without all of the wildlife that God created for us to enjoy.  This spring as you head out into the wilderness to hike, hunt or fish, take a moment to thank God for creating such a magnificent place for us on earth.  I can’t even fathom how awesome Heaven will be.   I sure hope there will be a few turkeys up there!
